Il Salsicciotto Casolano è un prodotto tipico del nostro territorio conservato sotto strutto. Viene preparato utilizzando i tagli più pregiati di carne con l’aggiunta di pochissimi altri ingredienti come il sale e il pepe, proprio come si faceva una volta in casa. La particolarità di questo salume è il periodo di affinatura sotto strutto che gli conferisce il tipico sapore. Il Salsicciotto Casolano è stato il vincitore del premio “Dino Villani” 2022 come prodotto artigianale eccellente, conferito dall’Accademia Italiana della Cucina il 07 Luglio 2022 presso il Palazzo del Governo di Chieti.
